| Hey all,
Recently got into building bucktails- very fun! One issue I've encountered is that some bucktails I make have a tendency to roll. I mean that the entire bucktail will slowly rotate on it's axis during the retrieve. I've tried keeling the front line tie to minimize it, but I'd like to rebuild the bucktails to fix the problem. I haven't tried using keeled weights yet, but have cut and rebuilt, moved the weight around on the shaft to try to fix it. Anyone have any best practices or tips other than trial and error to fix this problem?
Thank you all! |

| Thank you, Jason! Checked out that thread and some of the suggestions are useful, but my issue is with the entire bucktail rolling, rather than just the tinsel skirt. The skirt has no issues, but the entire bucktail slowly rotates, especially at higher speeds. |

| Usually you can bend the eye to a 45 degree angle to prevent the bucktail from spinning.
Brad with Musky Mayhem has a video on this somewhere out there |

Location: oswego, il | Yoh can add a bell sinker in the middle on a clevise or front hook that will do it too. |
