How would you know the fish is "huge" if you can't get an accurate depiction of it?

By catching big fish yourself and knowing what they look like.

It's May, not January.

You are missing the point. He said he can't get an accurate depiction of the fish. If that is correct, he wouldn't be able to tell that it's "huge"...

Congrats, those are some nice bass, but I'd rather catch a big muskie or tiger (30 lbs or more) as 8lbs in the muskie world are dinks. Plus this is or so I thought it was, a muskie forum.

Sign me up for an 8lb smallmouth!! I’d take one of those over a 30 lb muskie any day.. I’ve caught dozens of muskie that big probably never catch an 8 lb smallie.. unreal!

I fished there once about 6 years ago. I caught more smallies in 3 days then had ever caught. Never really targeted them except for small creeks when i was a kid. I never caught any giants, plenty of 3 and 4lb fish but i did see one that dwarfed every fish i caught. I once netted a 6 3/4lber for my dad. This one was much bigger. That was an oh #*#* bass.

Just wanted to show you guys the "proper" way to hold a smallmouth.

This way you won't be accused of trying to "embellish" the size....

Lots of muskie anglers fish other species. If you don't want to read the subject matter in any thread, it's pretty easy not to.

Here is one my dad got in teal lake along time ago. Didn't snag it the bait rehooked itself in the net. Crappy pic didn't know how to take good pics back then. Never measured it, the bait is 6" long. The fished weighed 6.75 on a boga grip scale.
