2009 Yamaha 4 stroke vs 2009 Evinrude Etec. Both motors with 600 hours. How much more do you think the Yamaha is worth cost wise? Thanks

Retail on both is comparable, look at NADA Guides on the interweb. The big bore Evinrudes are very spendy, a lot of which is in the peripherals. Both are excellent engines.

Impossible to answer that question. Person A versus person B might be two entirely different opinions and worries. I personally don’t know many guys that would choose the Ficht over a Yamaha in that year range but hey...I’m sure they exist. Somewhere...

2009 is not a ficht. I believe the last year for those were 2003 or so. Both are great engines and I’ve owned both. Last boat was a Yamaha, new one has an ETec. If they are on the same hull and the same horsepower they should be comparable but I agree it seems Yamaha seems to add more money. Those yammys are reliable but man do those ETecs have snort!
