Posts: 16 | Heading to Lac Seul August 25th to September 1st. I have never taken a Canadian trip this late and am kind of wondering about typical weather for that time of year? Obviously things vary week to week. I'm imagining Highs in the 60s-low 70s? Also if anyone has fished Seul around this time any information will be much appreciated. Sounds like this week can be kind of a wild card as far as where the fish will be frequenting. Thanks for any replies.

Posts: 58 | Can be cold can be hot. I would bet on highs between high 50s to low 70s. You'll do well that time of year. 10s and topwater all day. Something will happen if you throw those types of lures all week.

In either site, simply type in the approximate area you are interested in and the display will show the weather and chance of rain, etc. I hope that helps. Edited by bigbite 4/3/2018 8:05 PM

Posts: 97 Location: Tulsa, OK | Weather is a hit or miss that time of year. Been up there at that time and it was in the 90s and calm and another year it was in the 30s to start every day. You will have to watch it starting in Aug to get a better feel of what you will run into.

Location: Contrarian Island | did a mid aug trip to Eagle 15 yrs ago..water temps started at 68, ended at 58.. any time you go in Aug/Sept you roll the dice, and need to plan for 80 degrees or 30 degrees... cold fronts that time of year can be the kiss of death on a trip.

Posts: 8702 | We've hit some wicked cold fronts at that time of year. Worst one ever was a 3 day stretch with wind, rain and a high of 45. Frost on the grass in the a.m. Surface temps dropped 12 degrees in 2 days. Only caught two fish all week. We've also had days where it was so hot we were dunking our shirts in the lake all day. Bring whatever you'd wear down here in July, and whatever you'd wear down here in November. You may need both!

Posts: 296 | I generally fish the 3rd week of August and it’s been stable and warm for the most part the last 10 years. Summer patters, with bays becoming a factor evenings. The fall season has been quite warm all the way to mid October the last 5 years. Always a chance for a cold front, but that’s fishing. Our coldest day ever on our August trip produced our largest LOTW muskie at 53.5”. Five boats went out that day, only muskie caught or seen. It’s a good time to go. July crowds are all gone
