Thanks for posting... couldn’t get through it. I lost consciousness when the guy claimed people are keeping and mounting 27” walleye.

I agree! This guy should be very comfortable being a public speaker. You can easily tell that even he doesn't believe what he is supporting. Very sad...

Shouldn't have watched that.... Just ruined my day. This whole bill is a joke. One guy tries to make a point by throwing out the statistic that 62% of Lakeshore property owners purchase fishing licenses.... 62%..... Does he know how percentages work? That's a horrible statistic to show that these property owners care just as much about the fisheries.... Here's a statistic, 99.9% of fishermen buy a fishing license and support the health of our Fisheries

How the heck could you cross reference property ownership with license purchase? When the lake association I belong to was trying to reach all property owners on the chain, they found a number of properties were not showing as owned by an individual. Some family corporations, trusts, etc. They are legal entities, but not individuals.

I watched the whole thing. Since when does a muskie or northern cut a 25"walleye in pieces and eat part of it! Lake associations would't come out and state the obvious but beat around the bush."They don't want outsiders coming onto THEIR lakes.... Also muskies are now eating little kids, nothing stated about possible otter bites or northern bits or if that is all made up also. Fake news!

Just more proof that people are friggin' STUPID. They don't know anything, and they don't WANT to know anything, because as soon as you put someone in front of them who DOES know something, they immediately shut down, take their toys and go home...

Teresa mentioned that the DNR spent 1.2 million dollars on Muskies last year... then asked why. I wonder just how much money people spent to pursue Muskies in the state of Minnesota last year when it comes to shelter, gas, food, boats, lures, sunscreen, etc...? I found a stat from 2007 that said over 100,000 residents either casually or avidly fished for Muskies. Well, that is over 2 million dollars in resident fishing license sales. Non-resident fishing license's cost three times as much as a resident fishing license. Seems like money well spent with all-things considered... especially when comparing the number to other things the state uses money for.

Mind blown.
