Looking to get a couple believers. Not sure if I want jointed or straight? Which do you like better?

I've caught fish on both, spring, summer or, fall.
Jointed are noisier and may or may not give the illusion of more speed AND they're a underrated topwater when using the line tie closest to the nose and ya crawl um along the surface.

I used the search function here and found an old thread talkin about the same thing. Feel free to click this link to see more replies --> http://muskie.outdoorsfirst.com/board/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=14...

The jointed wander on a troll and you can add a bell sinker to the rear of a straight model to twitch it just under ths surface very erratically. You can hear the sinker hitting the bait at the end of the cast. No reason to get just one!

I have always used the 10 in. jointed for trolling. I like the 8 in straight for casting on the shallow eye. Fish it like a Suick close to cover then finish with a straight retrieve back to the boat not forgetting a figure eight.

in my top 3 cranks, get the 8 n 10 ,jointed n straight. if you order directly from drifter you could ask for the paint job you want for free.straight one hunt a lil bit if you use the shallow eye it turnin to a jake style

They do catch fish, but the jointed models are very frustrating to cast. The lures foul very frequently on the cast.

Agreed. I have had a lot better luck with Drifter's Super Stalker while casting. Good in the same applications as the believer, but they don't foul and I like their jointed action even better

I like the jointed better for trolling at higher speeds and the straight at slower speeds. A jointed 10" trolled at 5 mph on the shallow eye wanders impressively.

Rubber band the front treble hook and you won’t get fouled lures
