My favorite argument I have seen so far is that the DNR has an agenda against Walleye/panfish stocking. That they cannot be trusted. So ridiculous I cannot even find it funny.

This poll has been shared to MN Senate Republican Caucus's Facebook Page. Might be worth a read.

The comments on this page are unbelievable...who are these people??? They're invasive and bite people?  Really?  I'm not on fb but someone needs to set them straight on the republican caucus page.  Like how by their logic, walleyes are "invasive" in about 2/3 of the lakes they're stocked in in MN

I am all for people having opinions on subjects and have a reasonable discussion. That is what we have the right to do in this country. However when people have no idea or are not educated and make knee jerk reactions because I read it on the internet or I was told by insert name, on TV that this is wrong. Please take the time to do a little fact checking before formulating an opinion.

Arguing with people on Facebook is like carrying bags of sand for a trek through the desert.

They are asking for comments.  It's very one sided on that particular page guy.

If someone finds a way besides FB to vote/comment, please share it.

Heaven forbid, something like voting be accessible regardless of demographic.

And most of those comments pro or con won't have any bearing on what happens, potentially not even read. Sending emails and calling is much more effective than a Facebook comment. I can create 25 fake accounts in 25 minutes on Facebook. I've added plenty of comments but I recognize their limited value. Engaging in an argument with the people on there is a waste of energy.

Corrections may, however, cause those who are totally clueless to not place a stupid there for fear of looking...stupid.

Well...that senator who posted the poll just had another post saying he believes it should be a local decision. So does that mean he is saying that only people in MN get a voice in the matter, or that it should be the people who live on the lake making the choice? Either way, it seems like a backwards way of thinking.

so I had shot the group of Senators a few emails, with various studies and info they might find pertinent. Well Senator Eaton had an interesting response... so I guess all our emails to him are not "helping the matter"??? sheesh!

Brad,

I get you are passionate about this issue, but your FOUR emails on the subject along with the hundreds of others doing the same is not helping the issue. It is spamming my inbox though.
