Hi all, I tried something new to me, I 3D printed a mold for pouring resin.  This one was a high performance plastic and I’m not sure how long it will last, but you can also now print metals like aluminum, stainless steel and titanium.  I went with a small lure for my first try using this method.  The lure is 4.5” long, thru wire, and has a density like a hard balsa.

Absolutely outstanding! With your 3D printing you can make any lure shape that appeals to your imagination, and add any level of detail that programing details will permit.

Nice :D What printer did you use?
I did the same thing with a softbait mold, using our Stratasys Uprint SE :P

These were done on a HP Fusion Jet machine in their proprietary material, it’s pretty strong stuff and the layer thickness is only .08 mm so the steps you get are not that pronounced.  So far it’s been pretty cool

Nice, I printed some lures using PLA. But this is very cool.
Was thinking about doing something similar.
I've made molds for pouring soft plastic swimbaits. They work fine, warpy at times, but I've made a handful at 6 inches so far. And a bunch of 3 inch swimbaits for bass. Also just using PLA, printed on an anet a8. 1/10 would not recommend the printer.
