One of the lakes we fish south of Hayward has a bay with milfoil in it. We call it MILF Oil bay.

Western MN guys probably know about Old Faithful. You can almost always find a fish willing to eat there.

Dynamite Cove where the remains of the old Ontario Powder Co. which blew up in 1903 was rebuilt and suffered its final explosion in 1908 are located. It contains a large bald rock that is above water except in the spring refered to as the Whales Back. Pecker Point has nothing to do with woodpeckers.

On the Larry we have the Gangsters, The Firecracker, The Money Run

Lucky Duck - on LOTW. Saw a muskie take on a duck and had it in its jaws. Big fight underway and the duck got free but was bit again. Managed to get away a second time and made it to land, limping, but alive.

I know where that is Rotorhead. Not very far from where you caught your (then) personal best muskie.

Can't take credit for any of these but the thought of them evokes memories of some of the best muskie fshing I've seen/done as well as great times with special friends on my favorite muskie lake.
Moose p i s s bay (ya. 'nuff said. Meh, well not really. A tannic stained waterfall running down the rock wall.....there, that should be enough)
The muffin wall (think nooks n crannies)
The granite triangle kinda like Bermuda triangle....You drive through it....you never come back). Maybe because it's strictly a big fish spot. Or you lose your lower unit. Nobody really knows.............
Whale rock (looks like Moby Dick)
Happies.
Jack pot point. And yes as frustrating as the lure of the same name may be, I've never had more action on any other lure on that spot or any other spot on any lake. That lure was made for Jack pot point if you ask me.
And my favorite, which sounded to me, for the longest time, like " Just a minnow". Which in and of itself could work. But the truth behind it lies on a outing where friend of mine had been relentlessly probing another angler for the"secret hot spot" that'd been producing but he d continuously hold close to the vest. After many days of questioning they'd believed they figured out the guy's spot. When they approached him and suggested the location, he continued in his best accent, (French I believe) , "No, no, no! I no cana tell you. I no tell a nobody. Nobody knows a my spot. Just-a-me know."

I can actually take credit for this one on that same lake, "the chamber of commerce". It's the very first "fishy looking spot" as you motor from the ramp. There's a muskie there that is surely paid by the local chamber of commerce and she will come and greet everyone. Right even up to your boat side. She'll even tease you in the figure 8. BUT, she'll never go beyond that. I've never passed on fishing that spot either coming or going and I've never danced alone. She's one hell of a tease because I don't know anyone that EVER got a kiss from her. But she'll always have you coming back. Always been a high 40"e too.

There are others that escape me right now but great thread!

So "Last Chance" finally makes an appearance - Probably Big V's most famous spot - I've heard it called that by 4 separate groups who've claimed to have originated the term - I'm having my ashes spread there as the fish that lives on it has taken 10 YEARS OFF MY LIFE - - - -

A spot I reference often known as "Dinkville". It's a large bar that has kicked out several 50" fish for my boat but there's this section of it that only puts out fish under 43"es. I've caught probably over 30 fish from this one spot and never one larger then 43. We named it 6 years ago and no matter what person I fish it with they always will ask, "are we coming up on Dinkville yet?"

A couple LOTW spots:
330 ... first time we fished it, we caught 3 mid 30s
O.M. G-Spot ... Super thick tank rolled on my buddies bucktail half way back to the boat and his only words for the next 5 minutes were "OH MY GOD"

Not muskies, but a couple winter laker spots:
The Whorehouse ... it always puts out
Whorehouse North ... also always puts out, and on the north end of the lake/bay

Cool thread here. Gotta love learning about or coming up with memorable spot names. Here's some of mine:

Doctor's Office
Waiting Room
Heidi's Tit
Prick's Pile
2 Fish Pass
Blue Slide Bay
Moss Back Bay
Automatic Point
The Dump Truck
Kent $h!t Island
Twins Bay (twin 42s one evening)
Mortal Sin Point (mortal sin not to fish it)
JB's Tavern (after a fine "establishment", often shortened to just JB's)

And one from one of my fav stories... Radio Reef... pertaining to a buddy's second trip to Canada. We have friends that own a cabin on this lake and we stay at a resort around a point in the next bay over. Cabin friend likes to give nicknames to every one he meets. My friend (Michael), while sitting on the dock during a mid-afternoon beer break, proceeds to ask: "you've met me twice now, how's come I don't have a nickname yet?". The prompt response was: " you want a f'n nickname, F'n Mike, F.M., there you go." So, while fishing a nameless reef the next day we finally started putting some time in on, F.M. pops a nice fish off of it. We aptly named it Radio.

While fishing Lake of the Woods... my good friend Sean's father made a cast and got a backlash. The lure sank to the bottom a good distance out. After picking through the backlash and finally freeing it after trying for minutes... he lifted the rod up and felt something on the end. He pulled and something pulled back. He then tried to reel the line in, along with whatever was on the other end... but, the line got wrapped around the tip of the rod. In panic-mode... my friend grabbed his fathers line and proceeded to bring the line and the fish in, by hand. Finally, after a good-long battle... one of the ugliest, skinny Muskies to ever swim Earth's waters was in the net.

We all decided to call the spot... "Hand Job."
