Fished part of the 26th, all day 27th, 28th and 1/2 day the 29th.
ended up with 7, 43,41,40,40,37 and 2 smaller ones. Several big pike up to 41".
found very, very little bait balls anywhere. water temp went from 48 - 40. not our best trip but also not the worst. Big winds were tough. We were at the Angle.

Young's Bay still open, and as long as the wind keeps blowing it'll probably stay open, If the wind stops who knows.

Here one of my buddies getting out of Pine Creek today.

Left Morson this morning. Yesterday, there was skim ice in Hanson's Bay, but it was still a couple hundred yards in from the government dock. No problem at the GD. Today, the wind had switched some, and it looked like the ice was gone in there. We went out of Mylie's Place. That's a good option, if the GD is iced over. They're on a bigger bay, but it's still very manageable. They charge $5 per day to park there.

25 degrees at the Angle this morning. There was ice in the Young’s Bay marina last night. Lake will probably have ice this week (I bet by Wed or Thur) if the wind stays down.

Some heavy breathing going on in that video!

Ice is not a friend of transducers and trailer lights.

Change of plans cancelled lotw because of ice and snow. Went out east. Weather is better. Didn't want to drive 13hours and get froze in and have to leave half way through the trip.

Well my life is about adventure not just catching fish !! I did get just 2 1/2 days in and it was an a great adventure fishing in a snow storm and breaking ice for 1,000 yards !!! It was a life adventurer and I did it with my wife, I would so do this then go to a lake where you have 100 other boats and looking at the Detroit skyline ! But it's all personal choice !!

2nd week of November? ...you might need to bring your ice fishing auger...

muskyhunter07
I will be at Baystore camp November 4th through 11th. Its still pretty warm out I don't see it icing by then.

Did you get fish the Angle at all before it shut down on the 6th?
Where did you go "out east"? How's the fishing?

Folks from Windego island coming in on snowmobile yesterday. Pretty early freeze up, but this used to be normal around 20 years or so ago. Global cooling? Looks like it'll be a while before ice fishing though. Warming trend for a while.
