Hey All,
Looking to add walk the dog top waters to my skill set,
Any recommendations on ones to start out with?
Not looking to break the bank on crazy customs, but not looking based on price either.

What do you guys recommend?

Will second recommendation for One eye Willy. Great action and the best hook-up success for me. The Super Spook gets a lot of action but it is smaller and very light-weight. Hook-ups can be a problem.

I was getting lots of follows and blow-ups (but few hookups) on my Jackpot and a guy suggested I try the Weagle. The Weagle sits lower and is easier to work, but I don't get nearly the follows or strikes on it.

Just buy a black one of any of the baits mentioned and you'll be fine.

I had a similar experience with the Jackpot. Moved a lot of fish but something I saw too often was the lure thrown in the air by a striking fish. On one it looked like the muskie was chasing it through the air. Very cool to see but it would have been a lot nicer to have a hook up.

One Eyed Willies for sure. Easy to use. Sits and rides low in the water. Great hook up percentage.

One eye Willy for sure. I've tried a lot of different ones and the Willy was easy for me to use and the fish pound it.
