Posts: 3 | Hello, I have been trying to get a hold of someone up at Sandy's BlackHawk Island with no success. I have tried emailing directly, the email form on their website, and even found a phone number. I have not gotten any response after a couple weeks. Does anyone no a good way to get a hold of someone? I would like to talk about booking at trip in 2018. Thanks!!

Three words: Angle Outpost Resort. I have stayed at Sandy's and the lodging is very nice. Having said that Sandy's is more expensive in terms of lodging and gas plus the pain in the nice try of having to boat out to the island from Young's Bay. The boat ride from Angle Outpost adds maybe 5 minutes to your travel time.

Posts: 15 Location: North Dakota | I am heading up to Sandy's in the morning. I will ask them what the best way to contact them is. My uncle has been going there for years and has one of their personal numbers I guess, but he, too, says they are slow to reply. I'll report back ASAP.

Posts: 214 | Also check Angle Outpost, Jake's and Young's Bay. All on the mainland, and all much cheaper than Sandy's camp. I don't believe Bill is fishing much so if you want a guide who is on the water each day call Joe Cooper. Angle Outpost will give you his contact info.

Posts: 13 | I am at the Northwest Angle almost every other weekend and most in between. Pm me , if it's just the LOTW experience your going for there are more than resorts, guides that will give you the experience. Bill Sandy is a great guide and runs a great resort (as does Angle Outpost, Bay Camp Store, Sunset Lodge...ect) . If you know how to fish shield Muskies then just stay at a Resort in the Minnesota side, much easier to get to and they offer everything other resorts do.
