12" basswood, 18 ounces, 1/4" thick lip. Ran it this morning, tracks well, wiggles fine at both low (2.5) and high (~5 mph) speeds, but is reluctant to hunt.

We don't have real muskies here in WA and the Fish & Game program to stock a few tiger muskies is basically impoverished and doesn't extend to Moses Lake in any case. I make these lures as a hobby to keep busy in retirement but I don't fish them personally. When I test them I use a heavy duty fiberglass trolling rod left over from my Puget Sound king fishing days of 50 years ago along with leaded line.

There are actually three positions for line tie on the lip, you just can't see them in the picture. The pictures just happened to be taken with the clevis pin in the position closest to the lure.

so the hunt is really caused by xtreme science research ,not just a clevis pin

There's nothing magic about a clevis pin, it's just a convenient way to provide multiple pull points on a lure. Hunting comes about from a balance of forces involving the lip length, shape, and width compared to the back and shape of the lure. Some hunt, some don't regardless of the clevis pin.

so a pelagic would hunt even without the pin?

Yes. There are lots of baits that hunt that don't use a clevis pin. Most are bass baits so you don't normally see them on this site, but they're out there.
