I have a couple of trolling bags that I really like. I had drift socks, but they didn't last. Before I had good bags I used two 5 gallon buckets with a 3 inch hole drilled in the bottom. Those worked surprisingly well.

You shouldn't need any of these to troll at muskie speeds. Most muskie guys who have kickers run them to keep their hours off the big motor.

For trolling trout and salmon we use a trolling plate on my dads boat. My boat trolls down fine.

Main motor with trolling motor supplement for fine tuning. Walleyes I'll either run silent with trolling motor or add a sock out.

I just run my main engine. On a typical trolling run I will vary my speed anywhere from .5 to 6.5 MPH so I have zero interest in trolling bags or using my bow mount. I actually see that as a hindrance. If you have a kicker motor then I would still be doing the same thing. This is all assuming you're talking about muskie trolling.

X2 since you are on the fence I would just go with the 90, you can always add the kicker later if you decide to mostly troll.

The weight the kicker hanging on the rear would slow the boat down a little, same with getting on plane… not to mention the extra expense ($ always a consideration).
