My HDS 7 gen 1 came up with this screen after I powered it up the last time out. Seems to be some sort of test screen that won't let me do anything else. Most of the buttons will not work and can't even power it down without unplugging it.

Anyone have any experience with that and know if there is a home remedy fix?

Hard reset. When powered off , push zoom in and out buttons along with power at the same time. Hold zoom in/out until unit beeps. Unfortunately you will lose your waypoints/trails/settings. Hope you backed them up.

No luck with the hard reset. #*^@...

Any other thoughts? Or just scrap it for something new? Any google searches I have done have come with no solutions.

Does Lowrance have any trade in/upgrade programs?

One last thing. Hit the side of it real hard with your hand. Not kidding.
If that doesnt work, call Lowrance and be real nice. They may give you a discount on new.

Thanks for the help 4amuskie. I appreciate it.

Unfortunately none of it worked, but it was worth a shot!
