What!? I just got back from a 3 day trip to Okoboji for the musky opener, what a great thing to discover upon checking in here.

Now that I've slept, I'd like to thank Professional Edge andTackle Industries. I've literally never won anything substantial like this so I'm on cloud nine. I really enjoyed this contest, muskie fishing is easy to take too seriously so little infusions on comedy and levity are a welcome change.

For those who read my write-up I predicted i'd get utterly demoralized by East Okoboji, and after 3 days fishing my prediction was spot on. I fished Sunday-Tuesday and only landed a FAT 20" largemouth and a small pike. I saw what I believe to be a 50"class musky on the world's laziest follow and lost a 15lb pike at the boat. Truly life imitation art.

Hello everybody.

Travis's XXH Tackle Industries telescoping musky rod built with a syncork split grip, fuji reel seat, stamped ring guides is in production.

The image is syncork with burnt cork accents while it was on the lathe.

It is on the way. Completed stick with a TI XXH telescoping blank, Fuji reel seat, stamped frame guides, and a 19 inch syncork split grip handle weighed 11.7 ounces.

It came today! The rod looks incredible, pictures do no justice. Extremely light and the extra thick syncork grip feels perfect for large baits. Thanks again to Professional Edge, Tackle Industries and Muskie First.
