Posts: 841 Location: Southwest PA | One follow with no commitment in the eight. Fishing from shore is not conducive to the figure eight. Managed A couple decent walleye and the crappie are turning on too. This past weekend has me set on getting the boat out this upcoming weekend and I will probably take Friday off to do so and fish.

Posts: 20179 Location: oswego, il | 13 for 15 out of diversey all lake trout, two biggest were around 20lbs. Sunday casted lake holiday from shore, my hookup rate was way over 50% of my casts, bluegill, crappie amd yellow bass. If your not using a tiny beetle spin with a 1" gulp alive twister tail and a couple split shots in front and fish panfish, your missing the boat. In northern WI, the crappies were very shallow. I was surprised to see several pair of northerns cruising the shallows together, thought they would be done spawning but at least three separate pairs on the shore I was fishing and one muskie that swam under the boat in less than two feet of water. Had one low thirties northern grab the little jig/minnow I was using for crappies. Came right to the boat but snapped the 4# test when I tried to get the jig with a pliers. The northern was really scarred up around the head. I have seen many muskies that are beat up from spawning but first time with a northern.

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | My back decided to start spasming Friday afternoon so I couldn't muskie fish like planned. Went crappie fishing, limited out fast and started trolling for walleye and white bass. Caught a 30" muskie trolling a small shallow shad rap. Good day

Posts: 32786 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I spent a couple hours fishing panfish and ended up with dinner, breakfast, and a couple left for tomorrow's breakfast and left the lake early. Our fish Sunday were deep, surprising me, caught the crappies in 7' on that puddle. All the other lakes we have fished over the last week we found them in 4' or less. Saw a couple muskies swimming around in the shallows. Attachments ---------------- IMG_0142.jpg (174KB - 343 downloads) DSCF7132.jpg (199KB - 347 downloads)

Posts: 470 | Tough. Nothing but follows and small dudes following at that. No idea what turned them off, but something threw the switch. Nice weather though. RandalB

Posts: 1 | I got a nice one for early season! Water was clear had her follow twice then threw a jerkbait in front of her face and she bit. She went 48!

Location: Eastern Ontario | In gardening mode waiting for the muskie opener or the Lake Ontario water levels to go down to where they open the launches. That doesn't look like it will happen any time soon.
