So who is making there own knock-off Kraemer Brothers Revolution bucktails? I have made about a half dozen so far and they look great and run awesome. With all due respect the price of the originals is just comical. There is less actual material involved than a standard double bladed bucktail.

Where are you getting the blade? Or are you cutting them out yourself?

Just cutting them out myself nothing fancy at all and with hand tools. Luckily I am not needing to make 100s of them.

I haven't drills the hole in this blade yet or bent it but I think you get the idea. The tape is 3M reflective DOT from Amazon.

So what material did you make the blades out of? Spring steel?

After a quick impatient search I settled on a stainless steel kick plate. I am sure something cheaper and better exists but that's what i went with.

I made one with an aluminum blade. I made a post titled "aluminum bow tie blade bucktail" a couple weeks ago about it with a picture. It got me a 44.5" muskie on its first outing. The marabou I put on it looks bad as it's scavenged from a tie I did years ago.

The blade itself works pretty well but I think I'll back off from 1/8" aluminum and go with 1/16". I also want to try rounding off the leading edge a little for better hydrodynamics.
