We will show you an awesome time, in some of the best Musky waters in Lake of the Woods! We are about 4 hours from Winnipeg. We may even be able to arrange to pick you up. One of our customer did an awesome trip last year. He lives in West Virginia. He fished a few days at Lake St. Clair, then did the Indian Chain for 4 or 5 days and then stayed with us for a week. He and his 2 buddies caught a lot of fish!

Good luck with your trip planning!

Todd

My vote is the northwest angle of LOTW. You will have the opportunity to learn a crap ton about musky fishing in one week. Almost half of your fish will be caught on a figure 8. You'll have many opportunities in the 40" range, and if you fish hard enough, I'll about guarantee a 45+. Like previously said, early to mid july. Book early as many resorts will be filled during that time period. There's a reason for that...

Sir;
Another possibility would be to spend a few days in the western US chasing tiger muskies (northern pike-muskellunge hybrids). Utah, Washington, and New Mexico all have some great tiger fisheries and each area has a Muskies Inc. Chapter. You could get some excellent advise on the fishing and a chance to catch one of the most beautiful escoids. Some of the best tiger fisheries are located in beautiful mountainous regions. Muskies Inc. Chapter 65 Mountain West Muskies covers Utah. Chapter 59 New Mexico Muskies covers New Mexico; Chapter 57 NW Tiger PAC covers western Washington, and Chapter 60 Mountain Muskies covers eastern Washington. I wade fish and have caught nice tigers in New Mexico, and some really big ones in Utah including a 50" tiger which is much rarer than a 50" purebred. I haven't made it up to Washington but a lot of mid 40" fish are caught out there. Lake of the Woods is an awesome fishery as is Lake St. Clair with excellent chances to break the fifty inch mark on purbred muskies, plus Lake St. Clair is starting to produce some nice tigers. Just a suggestion and best of luck on your pursuit.
