Posts: 770 | What does everyone wear for fishing in the rain? I have this problem of water running down my raingear and into/ onto my shoes....

Posts: 166 Location: Gurnee, Illinois | I have been wearing Merrell shoes for years. They have great arch support for standing on a hard deck all day, and are waterproof.

Posts: 3469 Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya, I went and purchased a pair of rubber overshoes. Easy to pack into a corner of a storage compartment, and when it rains, I can slip them on over my shoes if I want to keep them dry. Simple enough and then when rain stops, off they come and I'm still in my comfy, dry shoes. http://www.tingleyrubber.com/p/work-rubber-overshoe-10-inch-height/... I'm thinking you can find them cheaper than here, but they do work well.. Steve

Keen's. Make sure they're one of the waterproof models. I have a pair of half-boot hikers that fit the bill. http://www.keenfootwear.com/product/shoes/men/oakridge-waterproof-boot

Posts: 489 | If you are a tennis shoe type of guy vs boots or hiking shoes asics and adidas make gore Tex shoes. They look like normal tennis shoes but are great for this. I have a pair of asics and I love them.

Posts: 173 Location: Probably Minnesota that time... | Comfort, support, and staying dry- I can't imagine much better than a pair of gore tex red wing boots. The only time I'm not wearing them fishing is when it's not raining in the summer.

Posts: 1039 Location: North St. Paul, MN | I bought $100 Keen sandals 9 years ago and they're still going strong. I'd say pay for those up front rather than buy the Target brand "Keens" and end up with a new $20 pair every year (like my dad...he refuses to listen to me). I fish in MN, WI, and Canada. From June-September I'm wearing those. One great thing about the Keen sandals, is the solid rubber toe coverage. Comfortable and safe! October/November I wear my shin high gore Tex hunting boots.

Posts: 422 | X3 what VMS said. I have been using the tingly overshoes for years and they are the cats pajamas. keep feet dry and take up no space in the boat or gear bag and are inexpensive.
