Will 30 inchers hit lures that are 12 inches long? and what are the smallest muskies you've caught on mag lures?

I caught a 33" pike on a 25.5" 2 Pounder Bulldawg. Normally the 2 Pounders catch big pike but there are always those hungry little guys that will hit anything...

They absolutely will, especially pike. Actually pike will probably try to eat a bait bigger than themselves. I know it's a small example but I caught my smallest pike (12") with a shadzilla jr.

17×5 musky didnt measure length or girth so it's size approximate released boatside on a 17" bucktail. I did lift out of the water for a pic, will try and find it.

Not a muskie but this little bass actually followed the twin 10 in and ate on the 8. Must have been hungry or maybe was looking for a friend.

My first musky on a mag dawg was only 30". Caught about a 12" musky on a 9" bobbie bait.

As always, there is, "what can happen," and "what's likely to happen." If you go to Green Bay for walleyes right now and see some monster caught on a jig and small minnow, you may be inclined to think the opposite way. You have to watch the trend. Or. Just fish bass baits, cuz the Lord made bass so everybody can catch a fish, and a lot of people think bass guys catch the most muskies, and also have that thing about everyone being their "son" and saying, "I'll tell you what," and then they don't??

I caught an 8-10" Muskie on a 7" bass jerkbait. It was right after the dnr had stocked(I later found out). Brother caught one around 18" on a cowgirl once also. Bass, pike, and small Muskie all suffer from "little big mans disease" lol.

This might be the truest phrase i've heard. Caught multiple <1 pound bass and hammer handle pike on cowgirls, jr. cowgirls, 9" suicks, medussas, dawgs etc.

Just like most people I know, they'll eat anything when they're hangry
