From the Fishing Wire:

"Virginia Muskie Season In Full Swing

| February 24, 2017

DGIF biologists are tirelessly braving the elements to monitor the musky populations in the South Fork Shenandoah River, Main Stem Shenandoah River, and James River. Each musky they catch is tagged with one or two yellow reward tags worth $20 each. If you are lucky enough to catch a musky with one of these tags, cut off one or both of the tags and mail them in to the DGIF regional office in Forest VA to claim your reward."

Florida has something similar called the TrophyCatch program where you get awards for photographing and releasing bass that are +8 pounds and above. I have a couple bass in that program.

That sounds like fun! I got involved with the local muskies Inc chapter and they do all sorts of fun stuff with data and tracking. It is really neat.

I also find it funny how many people complain about the cost of a darn bump board. ..... they cost the same as two medussas guys....

It is a one time purchase.
