Throwing pounders with the RIGHT equipment is a walk in the park.... 2 Pounders are HELL on the body, no matter your age.

78 yrs. old and still making and chucking baits when I can find a partner with a boat to take me out. I live on Pewaukee Lake so that is where the majority of my fishing is done.

Wonder what the best reel to burn double 10s will be in 40 years when I'm 70?

You'll twist a dials to set in your speed and push a button. But it'll cost just over 1k...

HA, @ 63 with a junk body, I'm a professional troller. I can troll pounders, two pounders, and when FIVE pounders come out, I'll troll them. Double ten's, double fifteens, easy peasy. As long as my Pro Kicker has fuel, I'm good for hours !! LOL

First musky trip 54 years ago. Tackle boxes often contained hand guns. So pleased with all the changes since then.

Aaahh... maybe the young "stud" muskie fishermen don't want to hang out online with all the older guys...??

If this poll was on Snapchat or Twitter it would look a lot different.

I agree the media used to sample for this poll may be skewing the results maybe some partnership with a program could lure more young tykes over here. Also Muskie fishing is relatively expensive and hard on the body so the 30-39 age is probably the perfect window. I myself will drastically cut back on muskies when I have children or my dad gets to old for casting muskies, slow down and enjoy bass. Get back into it after a 10-15 year hiatus is my prediction.

Big bite, if you have time and enjoy driving id take you out in west central mn a few times. Pm me if your interested. Only fee would be sharing some knoledge.
