Tried Making a few heavy weight creature spins.  These are 4 and 5 oz. heads, and had to use Large Sluggo half Bodies for the Body/wiring.  8/0 hook was used.  Blade type is optional, probably go to a Colorado #8 OR Mag 8.

Any Applications you can think Of???

Looks like a great idea, I would love to have one for rip jigging deep weeds. Heavy weight summer speed..... I like it!

Jim, those would work on the local "pond" during the summer for sure! Good weight to either snap jig (might need a different jig head shape and hook placement for that though), or vertical jig the way the hook eye is. Would be able to fish them aggressively, which I think would help out there.

Joel, had a guy approach me with this idea....4-5 oz creature spins. He has caught fish on my 3/4 oz swimmer heads, But wanted something he could fish a tad deeper, and more vertical.

I had problems attaching the creature body as they blew out pushing over this large collar. I even shaved them down. SO! I attached the large sluggo body, actually about 2/3 rds of the body. I like the more sleek body of the sluggo, + it looks more streamline, and the cut in the sluggo gives the body some swing/ swivel, and easier to thread the wire through to attach blade,+ I think sluggo body will hold up better.

YES, the hook is tad beefy, but the eye placement will help drive the hook home....besides, did not really want to build a different jig head, before I sample other options, + costly just to build a mold for a half dozen baits.
