| Made my first bucktail tonight. Can you say saving money! Definitely didn't have the proper equipment on my first try though.
What is the best jig/form and why?
Also, I saw a really good video on how to use one, but can't seem to find it. anything helps,
Thanks guys |

Location: Gilberts IL/Rhinelander WI | I've made hundreds of bucktails ,on .063" wire, with round nose pliers and a pair of locking vice grip pliers. No need for any jig, wire form, bender etc. |

| I've made 30 or so on .61 with the "dubro bucktail twister" it cost $70 and I never put it in a vise also there is you tube videos of how to. Now I damaged it by trying to make the wire shorter but that has been my only issue. |

Location: Chisholm, MN | I use round nose pliers as well. Just cheap ones I ordered from Moore's. I couldn't find them the other day, so I used needle nose and they did the trick almost just as good! I've used benders, but it actually did a poor job and never used it again.
Side Note: I actually don't save money making my own because I just end up making way more bucktails than I actually need. It is pretty fun!

| I don't save money either, I just buy one cut it apart for parts and make them heavier for my liking... Gotta support the economy haha |
