This is how I was planning to set up my .062 wire harness for my soft swimbait. Red represents lead obviously.
Do you think hooking the wire inside the lead will be strong enough?

Looks great and that should be plenty strong, but if it helps you sleep at night might as well add a wrap and make it a closed loop thru wire.
