Location: Minnesota | I know this is the time of year is when the big girls eat. But i love my hunting just as much.when im in the woods looking for grouse or in the fields looking for pheasants i think i should be fishing and when im fishing i think i should be hunting . I have been fishing all summer so this weekend i will be hunting. How many others have this same problem?

Location: mercer wi | Me too. This time of year I pull dock n boat lift. I already work 10-12 hour day tues thru fri, but sat sun mon I make awesome cash pulling dock. Out today just wishing I was fishing instead I was in stinky, leaky waders. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Used to have that problem, but wolves and a bad Winter took most of the deer in my area. I'll do a few hunt-in-morning, fish-in-afternoon days this Fall for squirrels and grouse and take the crossbow up to the Bayfield area late Fall. There's a few oak ridges off the beaten path that will call me loud enough I won't be able to resist.
I will probably cut my hunting time in half. More muskie fishing, and definitely more walleye fishing up to Ice Time. |

Location: St. Lawrence River | Definitely tough then add in the fact that the walleye fishing is on fire up here in fall, 10 pounder city usually coinciding with the rut right through till ice up.

Location: Chisholm, MN | I pretty much picked muskies over bow hunting. Duck hunting is dead to me. Rifle season always takes precedence over muskies though. I will, however, take a couple days in November deer season to cast. It has paid off more than a few times. I always hope for a warm thanksgiving that allows me to get on the water one last time. Usually it doesn't work that way though. |

Location: Alex or Alek? | I grew up bowhunting, grouse, pheasant, duck hunting with the old man. I saw my first muskie 7 years ago and I have't sat in a tree with my bow since. I still enjoy duck hunting through I only get out a few times a year. Pheasant hunting is for when the lakes are frozen and snow is on the ground. Nothing like flushing a rooster out of a snow bank. |

| I love when bow season opens...it leaves that much more water for me! Then rifle season rolls around and I have the lakes all to myself. It's a beautiful thing! |

| Absolutely love fishing the fall but finally got a dog trained up this year and it's going to be hard to pas up taking him out grouse, goose or duck hunting. Hopefully I get time to do them all! |

Location: MN | I would normally duck hunt every single weekend and some weekdays and also fish in the afternoons. But this year my 3rd child is due to arrive mid October. My two Boys had the decency to arrive in March and April but not during show events. The expected Baby Girl has other plans. I will be lucky to get out a few times this fall.... and with 3 under 3 1/2 I have expect little free time over the next few years. |

| Legendary writer Ernest Hemingway said,,,"pheasant hunting is worth"???- "whatever you have to pay for it!!!!!",,,One November on vermilion our cabin partners got a 56 and 53 in one afternoon I'd say the bite was on!,,, Our response was to go out grouse hunting instead,,,I have gone to vermilion fishing with guys in the fall and took them out grouse hunting and they never picked up a rod the rest of the trip they had so much fun.
The great thing about upland hunting is you don't care what the moon is doing or the barometer or what direction the wind is out of or what color your bb's in shells are, you just find em and blow their heads off,,and in this sport you get to eat em. |

I'll take muskies these days. Throw in some fall basin' and it's a great time of year. Grouse would be fun but too far away. |

| it's definitely tough this time of year. I try to dedicate the new/full moons to muskies and beat brush with the 20ga the other weekends. Grouse are just too much of an adrenaline rush and a tradition to pas on. They're the muskie equivalent of upland bird hunting. |

Location: Wisconsin | I caught myself in the bow stand last year a handful of times and fishing conditions were great- so I left for the lake. I will musky fish before bow hunting any day of the week, especially if the weather is good! I plan to bow hunt opener and rut. And musky fish every other time I can! |

Location: Hayward, WI | I love this time of year, but yes there's a lot to do! Muskies usually fire up for me in September, and grouse and bow season start also. I like taking my Springer out for birds but we aren't terribly serious about it. I LOVE to bowhunt but don't get too nuts about it till mid October. I usually fish up to October but once we get into October, my fishing trips get pretty limited to overly warm days, and I spend the majority of time in the woods. |

Location: Walker, MN | A decade ago, I gave up duck hunting, bow hunting, rifle deer hunting, grouse hunting and watching the NFL, all for fall fishing. I sold everything. For me, it was the best call ever.
Between muskies, pike, walleyes, lake sturgeon, and big crappies, there is always something good going in the fall.
Sometimes even the leaves wait until April.

Guess with our season opening late June I wouldn't even imagine calling it quits until we're dodging icebergs out on the river.
Only thing that stops me now is going to hockey tournements with the kids. |

| I gotta say this is my first year seriouse Musky fishing and the fish seemed to have really turned on!! Mid summer i was only getting strikes and fish at dusk and #*^@!!! Now it seems like 2 hours before sunset they have been really biting!!! |

| I love fall hunting as long as it's for Muskies. Thank god for the upland seasons. It really clears out a lake. Now if I can just get rid of those goose hunters putting decoys in my musky spots life would be great. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | I haven’t had this problem yet, but I’m getting my first dog in 2 months and it’s a hunting dog, which means I’ll be hunting starting next season if I can figure out where to go, and that will certainly cut into my musky time.
