It is the old school Grandma's with the bubble eyes. Ones we used for years before the bent lip came out.

I don't know what they are worth but I know they catch fish. Just picked up a handful from various people on this site over the last couple weeks and payed a very fair price. Something about the M-9 is better than the new style. I don't know any of the history of why its not made any more but someone told me that the mold for them isn't available to use due to a company sale or similar issue.
If you can find a couple, buy them and use them. If you can't find them, there are plenty of good baits out there with similar styles.

I have both,,first generation black sucker (2) and Tennessee shad,,but they have 'smiles'-hook scrape. I would trade for kramer tails or original Brett Erickson LOW RIDERs,,because of the use I don't think they are priceable money wise.
You could also try "search all of craigslist" people will mail if you give them a few bucks more I do this with custom turkey calls and have found some gems.
I actually bought a bunch of original first generation grandma's from Australia!!! on the internet, these were also sold has saltwater baits too. I have about three dozen first generation I suppose I should see if I can rape people while the gettings good.

M 9 Grandmas are awesome baits--I buy all I can that are priced Right !!! the price can get high on them and I probably have enough of them for the rest of my life----They just flat out work better than the new GRANDMA LURES---that is why so many want them.

Old and new each have a place in my boat. New ones get deeper and hang a lot more.
