I have seen a lot of muskies surface right next to my boat. Haven't ever seen one do something like that though. Cool video!

Weird. Makes me think maybe it followed your lure in on the previous cast and was hanging there for 20-30 seconds before showing itself and swimming away.

I wish he would have taken off the sticker off the lens of the new camera prior to video taping.

An experience like that is what started me on musky fishing. I was sitting on the front of my In-laws pontoon boat with a 6' spinning rod and a 40s musky popped up right next to me. It lumbered away and I casted my gulp minnow at it. He was on for about 3 seconds before he thrashed and spit it out. Now I have 4 rods 100 lures and a fishing boat. Sometimes I wish I never saw him!

My story is very closely related to this one only I saw one hanging in a net from a tree . Some guy from across the big pond was carp fishing for supper an hooked one. He didn't even know what it was but he must have thought it would make lots of fish sticks! SOOOOOOOOO SAD! I will say he did not break any laws.
