Hello all,

What is your gameplan for this weekend?

I was in the Minocqua area last weekend crappie fishing and I saw two good sized muskies in shallow water. One cruising a shoreline and one on a sand / cabbage flat. Both in super shallow water.

Heading up to hunt for fish with teeth this weekend.

I figure I will start with small, slow moving baits. Cranks and glide baits and fish shallow weeds and wood.

Good luck to all who go out this upcoming weekend.

I will be using a similar technique. Im thinking the glide baits are going to work very well. Thats my hope at least!

Will probably be heading out Tuesday or Wednesday next week. The lakes we fish are an absolute zoo on opener/memorial weekend, plus the boaters aren't very courteous either. Once I get out though, will start with bucktails.

My gameplan is going to my nephew's wedding! Who gets married on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, especially the opener? Spoil a 3 day weekend for a few hours at a party.

Just got off the lake in the Rhinelander area. Water temps were in the upper 60s to low 70s. One area had something chasing small fish, saw what looked to be about a 6 inch bluegill come completely out of the water, several large boils in the same general area.

Tuesday night I was fishing for crappie and after catching a couple in about 4' of water I had another bite. But, after setting the hook, my rod doubled over, there was a huge boil and my jig was gone. I raised a big one several times in that area on topwaters and will be trying again on Saturday. Today, no crappies in that area, but quite a few perch.

Considering the amount of rain we had in the last 24 hours, I was surprised a the water temperatures.
