RandalB - People who look down on or criticize others for what they call things are "snooty" or "elitist snobs" unless they are kidding/joking. RandalB

I'm not looking down or criticizing, just curious.  I just remember a time when I didn't hear "ski" or "toothies" but maybe they've always been called that and it was just before the internet.  And some people are lying in this poll because "ski" and "toothies" are used in abundance on FB, which is fine as well...I just didn't know if I was the last guy, along with Will who called them muskies.

The hipsters must've gotten the memo that "ski" isn't cool anymore.

I guess I am old.  But even when I was young, I don't think I was ever chill.

Dope

I believe "Slingin' 10's with a Tranny and a Croix" would be considered "dope", eh?
How about we just shut up and fish?

Rod. Reel. Muskies. Or just plain "fish"...

Guess I'll never fish with Gillespie...

I believe it's getting worse with texting these days. My 12yo will say jelly (jealous ), totes (totally ), what evs, welks (your welcome) and some other crap I have to have him repeat and or explain.

When I was a kid, "rad"and "savage" and perhaps a few others im too old to remember, were the normal slang of the day.

Yeah, some of the expressions today are far out. Totally not groovy, man; I don't dig it. Completely bogus. Jive talk. Kids now think they bogart coolness. I'm not down with any of it. Some is too harsh and too heavy. Won't hear any of it in MY pad. Totally!

The postings on this topic make me laugh inside (my wife is asking me why I'm smiling), and yes, the "my boat" phrases are fun! I just hope that people don't get their skivvies (or is it undies?) in a bunch over it!
