Figured was better to do 10 than just couple. Doesn't really take much more time. Still a ways away from finishing but they are already sealed twice wire thru fitted the bills need cut out of .100 lexan then onto prime and the fun part.

No these aren't blanks I buy 3x3 X 12" balsa and cut with my own pattern, bill, Bill angle, my own wire thru. I made 5 others they are being fished but no catches on them yet. I myself had follow from 40's size on my own but I panicked on the 8 turned tighter than fish coyld turn sooooo....

Looks great! I built two similar cranks out of cedar and they didn't run great. Did you weight yours down a bunch? Also what did you fill the slot with?

I sealed the balsa twice with sherwin Williams sanding dealer and cut the slot by hand filled the belly in like 8 spots with lead I think to talked like 5/8 oz or something plus stainless wire through then I use plastic welder cream colored epoxy to fill entire slot except bill I use clear devcon 2ton 5 min

IT GOT ATE. 3 times in 1.5hr 2 boated and one lost on it. I lost one (poor or lack of hook set) on a 4" crane.

Here is the base coat on a foiled blue gill I painting up. I just using this as base to hide foil edges I will epoxy to smooth then paint the rest on and recoat. I have more I'm doing I'll post all together once finished
