I was just wondering if anyone knew offhand what I had to do to bring my dog with me to Canada? It would ease the burden on my wife and he would have a blast!

Upon entering Canada, the dogs shots will have to be up to date and a Vet's shot record shown as proof. I would check with the customs folks to see exactly what else may be required. Requirements may have changed since the last time we crossed the border with our dog.

Thanks for the info! It's much appreciated. We will be going through fort Frances about 2am. They usually barely even check our passports.

Go and Enjoy it with your dog

I will make sure to have the necessary paperwork. I not sure who's going to be more excited when we get there?! He goes from 9 to 2 yrs old in about a minute around water and wilderness! Here's the old man and my best man.

I had a "blonde" old fishing partner like that who fished with me on every trip I went on.
He made twelve years of trips, with me!
Best partner I ever had!

Howdy,

My lab Sadie fished with me on almost every trip from 2001 until three weeks before she died on Thanksgiving Day at 13. She was, without a doubt, the best fishing partner I will ever have. All I ever needed to bring her into Canada was the updated vaccination form from the vet. There were a few times they asked for it at the border but, other than that, we never had a problem at all.

Take care,

Ruddiger

Talk to your veterinarian! You will need a health certificate and probably proof of a current rabies vaccination.
