| I have an old wood glidebait that I really like and recently chipped the heavy clear coat off the bait in one small spot. Is there anything I can do to repair this so that I can continue fishing with it? |

| 5 minute epoxy has worked well for me. You can also use nail polish.
Baits get beat up, teeth make holes. Aside from one lure that didn't run right after having a chunk of wood taken out of it, mine all seem to run better once they get beat up. |

Location: Poynette WI. | I've put plenty of coats of clear coat nail polish on one of my favorite wooden suicks. Some like there suicks or other baits beat up, but I like this one the best when it's not so water logged. Takes me a couple mintues to brush some nail polish in it and lasts usually a day on the water. Aside from that the nail polish also helps prevent it from getting hook rash as quickly as it would with out. |

Location: Aurora | Try some watery thin super glue next time the nail polish wears off.
Seems to last a lot longer and makes the wood stronger ta boot. |

| I use the clear variety of this: http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/csi-vinyl-paint/380500.aspx It makes a little thicker coat than nail polish. |
