Location: Wisconsin | Wondering how fishing usually is during the end of February on the new river in WV? I got in an accident about 2 weeks ago and am unable to finish my season like I had expected to, so I'm trying to make plans for a couple trips south during the winter months once I have recovered.
If anyone has advise for the new river in Wv or Collins river/Melton hill area in TN during late February or early March, I would really appreciate any input! |

Location: Between a 10wt fly rod and a XH dawg rod | I fished the new in late February two years ago and landed the biggest Muskie of my life on a fly rod. I would more than recommend you go down there. Not sure I know who to ask for gear guides though, I'm just here for moral support to go. I wound up meeting some buddies down there and we did our own fly fishing trip. Needless to say, you won't regret it. |

Location: West Virginia | Melton Hill is all based on the power plant. When it is discharging warm water, they turn on and will gorge on shad. When it isn't, its dead. I fished it last January, the plant wasn't generating and it was slow. |

| If you want a guide check out Mike Woelfel at WV Musky Outiftters. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable. Catches some studs every year. He has a website and on facebook. |
