I just talked to a rep at the factory and a friend/owner of a local Lund dealership.I have a Pic of the Muskie boat.PM if you want to see it.The only difference between the two is the cockpit of the Northern version has pedestals seats and a rear flip up bench seating in the back that folds down to make a bigger rear casting deck instead of the Bass version with the pop up tackle box. Boats will be in showing up in more dealerships as Lund is in full production now. Both versions will be at almost all shows. Much better quality(Pro V) and layout then Predator. All boats coming out now are with 200 Opti or 200 V-Rod. Local dealer told me 40-50 K depending on add ons.Comes with cover and trolling motor.Need electronics and what every else you throw on it. I'm told heavy interest on both models so don't expect any Blue light specials.Boat looks awesome and layout may be the best ever for a Muskie boat. Now the old question you most likley be in lower Glass boat range? Need some reviews ASAP!

For that kind of money there are a lot of really nice options. Not to say that this isn't one of them, but they do enter in to an awful competitive market. I would have to think long and hard about an aluminum rig over a 18-19' glass boat...

hello guys glad to be joining, up here in canada its not easy to see boats like tuffys and the like that are built with big front decks and big rod lockers so anything like those that become available are of interest ! i received an answer from lund on Facebook ,they said no 17 footer in the works for now but 1875 on the line now.

I'm anxious to test ride the ProV Bass and see how it handles rougher stuff. I've been in a CMV as well and hope it's better than that. However hard to imagine it will be as good as most other glass boats its size. If the price is right though, it is intriguing...

Curious on testing for a rough ride...do you go out on a really windy, crappy day, or just extrapolate from whatever weather you get?

Isn't the ride is going to be nearly identical to the regular ProV? I thought the hull was the same except for shorter gunwales.

Pricing is out guys. I have a quote for the Northern verison layout I want. 150 HP Merc 4 stoke, , 9.9 Merc Pro Kicker ,Terrova 80# with I pilot ,Humm 859 on bow and Lowrance Elite 9 x on Dash with cover and spare and two bank charger.(that's all) If you want 200 HP and some more goodies you'll be in mid 50's. Crazy for 18.5 ft aluminum boat as you can get a Triton Fishunter 186 SC with the same stuff mentioned above for about 42K. The Lund boat has about the best layout you could ask for skies though .Except for the price.
Any ? PM me.

Let the boat get out there on the market, adjustments can and may be made, or not, but I think Lund has this one targeted where they want it to be.

You need to see it and ride it. You will be able to make an informed decision then.

Priced out (bench seating w/200 Verado) $39,657.

That's not horrible.

If something happened to my CMV, I'd sure look hard at this boat for that money

Further north, Id also love to hear what that includes and if thats from a dealer--lots of speculation about this boat and the pricing does seem out of line with what it is, but 39 seems a lot more in line with where it would need to be in order to be at all competitive, so im sure many would be interested.

That was priced off the link above. Hard to say if a dealer would price it for more than that...that'd seem kinda dumb...

No kicker, I have no use for one. No options either...I have all the electronics I need, incl. trolling motor which I would keep.

I'm Ok with it saying "Bass" on the side. That means other people won't know I'm on a musky spot.

Flip up seats on a rear deck are great IMO. Especially when you make several short runs throughout the day and don't want to remove your seat pedestal from the deck down the floor, and then back up again. Gets old (and so am I :). Did I hear at one point Tuffy is looking at having that rear flip up seats to their Esox rear decks?

Of the two versions, I prefer the 3 across seating by a lot.

All that space around the pedestal seats looks like wasted storage space to me.

More room for nets, tackle boxes, etc. We shot a video yesterday at Lund Boats and will be posting the final clip early next week, stand by.

We also got an answer on the decals.

So, question for Steve or some of you guys who are more "in" with someone at Lund or a dealer, etc. Is Lund positioning this boat as a deep-hulled bass boat, or is it a multispecies boat with a casting-focused layout? Theres been a lot of discussion around this boat especially relative to the price-tag, as unless the Lund pricing tool on their website is off by 30% it seems like you'll be able to buy a fully rigged glass bassboat from numerous companies for similar money as this, so I wonder if people are simply assuming it's a straight-up bass boat (it does say "bass" on the sticker) yet it has a 25" transom and may be "more" than a straight-up bassboat--its kind of apples and oranges if that's true, but not sure to what degree...Seems there are really very few boats quite like this out there that combine a deeper hull with a bassboat-style layout. I ended up moving from a deep v boat into a glass bass boat because I couldnt find a boat like this--had I been able to have lund build me a custom boat a couple years ago it would essentially be this boat, it's uncanny how closely it resembles what I was looking for. Realistically I couldnt afford to have bought a new one anyway, but I literally couldnt even find ANYTHING similar to look at, so Ive never laid eyes on one, they simply dont exist in the market in anything resembling a significant way. Youve got the x-190 which seems actually to be a smaller boat given the width and which as a brand seems confined to the upper midwest; The 05 and 06 triton 21xd (no longer made) comes to mind, as does the new 22' ranger boat--but those are both much larger boats and they are glass. Im just wondering who Lund will end up targeting to buy this boat and for what. The tin bass boat guys seem to think this boat will be too expensive and will draw too much water and therefore wont be a good value and wont meet their needs, and in the southeast most assume rivets are inherently weak and that the vee-hull necessarily makes the boat "tippy"(lund has their work cut out for them if this is the target audience); the glass guys want glass in this price range; which leaves you with current tin deep-v customers who want a casting layout, which, based on available offerings seems a tiny niche. Is that a lot more people than I thought, or am I missing something? Im in sales in another industry, so it would be interesting to hear from someone with that perspective and more reality-based insight on this boat and what Lund thinks will make it tick.

Silly question: Why would people want tackle boxes on board if they could store all their tackle below deck?

I've been doing that for three seasons now and I wouldn't go back to a tackle box on a bet.

The few times I fish out of someone else's boat and have to use one I feel like I've slipped back to the stone age.
