Location: Wisconsin | A lot of the lakes in my area are either turning over or just about to start. My buddy is driving quite a long ways to fish next week with me, and I'd like to get some fish in the boat for him and I. Just curious what you might do during mid turnover? I'm thinkng of just fishing some rivers instead of sticking around lakes |

I fish in northern WI. I was out yesterday and still had temps in the 60's. 63 actually. |

Location: Vilas County, WI | I came home Wednesday. Fished 4 lakes from 300 to 1300 acres in size. All had water temps 64 - 66. It didn't appear as if they started to turnover yet. I found a couple fish in large weedy bays about 10 FOW.
However, if it stays cool up there I assume some lakes might start turning over by next week. And I'm of no help to you where to fish or what to do when faced smack in the middle of turnover. I usually plan a September trip for the shallow weed bite and then a post turnover late October trip. |

| fish shallow with double tens and cover water. inside turns on points that go to deep water. it works for me. |

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Try fishing a river like the Wisconsin, the Black River, the Fox, even little tributaries like the Lemonweir River all have muskies that don't know what turnover is because there is none! Muskies are natural river fish, they use current as structure. Some of the best is right out in the current boils....

Is mid turnover like mid air?
There are two actual definitions for mid turnover. 1) right before you fold the dough over the diced apples into a triangle. 2) a Jay Cutler pass that is in as you put it "mid air".
Rivers, shallow water, shallower lakes that either don't or least affected by turnover. |

| I've been on lakes that are turning as I fish. I've found going to jig and creatures and top water work great. The fish can go extremely shallow so fish in all the areas where the docks were and fish all the little blow holes that were created by boats parking on their boat lifts during the summer. Good luck |
