in line with the boat phrases thread...

What usually comes out of your mouth when you hook a fish? We were talking about this in the boat a few weeks ago how everybody usually announces their fish in a unique way. I was informed that I say "there's one!" and "got em!" on every boatside catch, and just yell "FISH!" when they eat out on a cast.

Fished with a guy some years back who yelled "AH SH*T!!" every time a fish showed up, and another who says "FISH FISH FISH FISH!!!!"

Samantha usually swears at them. A LOT.

What are some of yours?

Out on cast: "There's one...stay pinned you b!tch" (I was just informed I say this EXACT phrasing every single time)
Near boat, but not quite boatside: "Net, net, net"
Boatside: "There's one...got em...you ready?" (also just informed I used this EXACT phrasing every single time)
It's funny, I never knew I said the exact same thing in each scenario until a buddy told just this past weekend. Great timing for this topic.

One friend says "there's one! BIG FISH!" 90% of the time.

It is a big fish 20% of the time.

Hooked:"got one"
Hooked few seconds: "small one" or "nice one" or "big fish" (least used phrase.)
"stay down"

'There she is'. Pretty quiet about it most of the time.

Sometimes when it's been tough:
'Well I'll be #*^@ed.'

My Son usually says, "Got one Dad! Got one Dad!"

I've noticed a few times lately that I've said, "Oh Look at those head shakes, That's not a Bass."
I think most of the time I say, "Got one! Got one!"

My wife usually screams, "I've got a Musky, I've got a Musky." And I say, are you sure it's a musky? And then she screams, "I've caught enought muskies to know when it's a musky!!!"

If I see one coming in then I will say "follow, follow, follow" consistantly This can be seen on my youtube videos.

If it then bites I usually say "got it".

If it bites midcast or before I see it then I just say "fish!".

Train yourself to not say a word. Lest you be quickly trading paint with lesser specimens of Homo sapien anglerii.

Do a search for "explicit language musky" on youtube. Make sure there are no children around.

That one happens a lot too. Usually followed by:
