Random quote: Muskie Fishing is like panning for gold in New York. Hell of a surprise when it shows some color.

Hey all, I just finished these up.  It’s my first try at a trout pattern.  I hope to make a trip to Melton Hill someday and hopefully this will do the trick.  My perch pattern seems to be ever evolving; I’m always tweaking something on it.

Those look awesome, I'd love to see a walleye pattern in that body style.

Top shelf Mike! Those paint jobs are beauties. I'm especially partial to the Rainbow Trout.

Thank you for the complements gents, much appreciated.   Those are the last of the 2015’s but I’m starting to get ready for next year’s batch and I do have some ideas for a new walleye pattern.  I found a metal flake called “gold gone wild” lol and it has holographics mixed in with the gold metal flake.  I’m looking forward to playing with that.  I’ll post’em when done

Well I thought I was done with the 2015’s, but I built a few more so I could dial in a new lip configuration - Molly Diver AL in Yellow Perch

What promoted the lip change? Rock banging?
I see the line tie is a different location. Does it run a lot different than the lexan lipped ?
great shape bait. I like it.

The AL lip is an option not a change.  I’ve never broke a lexan lip before, but yeah it’s for “rock banging”.

The real reason is I see a lot of guys building baits this way now and I just like to be trendy... lol.  Also I liked the challenge of figuring it out.  The action is a little different

Where do you have those aluminum molds made?

I make them myself.  Any CNC mill and some CNC routers can cut aluminum.  If you’re looking to have one made I’ve seen a place called “custom lure factory” on facebook.  I don’t know anything about them but they seem to be on the right track.  There used to be a guy on here called anzomcik that could build molds, not sure anymore

PM sent, I don’t retail them or have a website.  I just make them in small batches for friends who are interested.
