About 9 out of every 10 trips, this is said.
It's not always about the fishing. Sometimes it's just nice to get out.

"I can see your lure- there is NO fish by it"

That lure looks good in the water, what's that shadow low and away?

- That is a Chamber of Commerce fish. It only follows, never eats. Keeps you coming back.
- I either just had a follow or I need a break as I'm seeing things.
- That fish needs to renew it's Musky Hunter subscription, as I did that boatside move exactly how Saric said to do it.
- Nice cast Jay Cutler (on ALL errant casts)
- I feel like I just broke up with a super model (after the moment of silence when a big one gets off)

"Hey Dad, we forgot the camera. I'll run up to the house and get it". My reply, "Don't worry about it. We never catch a muskie." Both quoted shortly before I caught my largest muskie to date.

We always compete who can yell "chainsaw!" or "Skilsaw" when the first guy starts cutting on a lake upnorth.

Also, after a long period of nothing happening, "I'd take a good snag right now to get fired up."

At what point does this become stupid? This is the question after 10 hours on the water with out a sniff.

A friend of mine quite often seems to state this awkward question after hours of no activity: "Where are all they?"

we all talk like Borat about 99% of the time. Its pretty comical with 3 people. every fish, as well as when referencing other people in the boat are all referred to as "gypsy"

At the beginning of every outing, while dipping the net and facing in the direction of the nearest church:

Great Godess of the Muskellunge, we praise you and pray that we are worthy.

After netting a fish, or missing a fish or having a follow:

Great Godess of the Muskellunge, we thank you for the opportunity.

as the day wears on without any contact with a fish, it can be modified to :

Great Godess of the Muskellunge, we praise you and pray that we are worthy. Please send us a big, fat, slimy b#$@ch. We will honour her and treat her well. Our fate is in your hands.

I say "Please, thank you and sorry" when we first get in the boat, so I don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.
