I held one of these in December before they were introduced to the public and I was surprised how much of a different I noticed from a similar LT blank.

Anyone know if they plan to make full cork handle versions as well? $550 is a lot of money for bruised ribs.

Doesn't sound like they plan to make full cork initially. Rich specifically mentions using split grip design in the video to keep weight of the rods to a minimum.

Don't stick the rod butt into your ribs.

I use split grips from three builders and never have had an issue.

Once they make a full cork version Im in. Just cant justify buying a rod for 550 then sending it off and tearing it apart for full cork. Im a skinny guy and even full cork grips wear on my ribs and forearm after a long day casting.
