Random quote: The difference between a good and a great muskie fisherman, is the water they fish and the dumb luck of the day.....a wise, intoxicated old man

The Fourth Annual World Championship Lure Building Contest generated some incredible art from the entrants. Voting took place at the Chicago and Milwaukee Muskie Expos and online at MuskieFIRST.

These one of a kind lures are now going up for auction to raise money for the Future Anglers Foundation, an organization providing education and fishing equipment to kids across the country who would otherwise be very unlikely to be introduced to the sport.

The National Professional Anglers Association holds Kids and Family Fishing clinics at tournaments and shows throughout the year. OutdoorsFIRST has supported the clinics, shooting images and video at each covered tournament or show, and publishing to the NPAA website and OFM.

Each of the artists who entered lures in the contest are hoping for a great fundraiser with this auction, and hundreds of smiling kids will leave a Kids and Family Fishing Clinic with a rod and reel and basic equipment, and will know how to use them! At many events, each child also receives an NPAA Future Pro T shirt. The program is expensive to run, and we can help.

Bid now, and bid often! Let's get some kids into fishing.

Here's how this will work:

We will auction a set of lures every 3 days. Bidding on the fourth set, posted below, begins tonight and will run through Friday evening. Bid on each lure individually, one bid on one lure per post. Bid as often as you like!

Let's rock this thing....
