From initial prototype and after adjustments and tests it is a good mix of belly roll and left right this has an action I like. Shallow running and backs up when you let off.

Hopefully it will wear off after a couple of fish. Not a bad idea, I have my car covered on masking tape to protect the paint.

Did final test. This lure can be twitched on top. Slow cranked or burned in from casting. Exactly what I wanted and sits tail down at rest. The water line is right at the pupil.

I see that you said you are using etex? Doesn't look very thick if that is a balsa bait you will need a thick build up to protect it. That being said, it looks like the perfect twitch bait for Mud river.

Yeah etex and was just for me. The balsa has been hardened underneath with thin super glue. Two coats of thin super glue sanding between coats and etex top coat. The next baits I'm making will get more attention to the details. This was just design concept that ended up working. It will go directly in my tackle box.

I always like the paint schemes that impart a craftsman's own personal style...you have that and your style will only get better as you continue to create....don't ever try to be something/someone else, but build on your own style. I love the muskie pattern!

Thanks a bunch means a lot. I just try what I like and have fun doing it. Now just need my buddies fishing them to see if they get a bite.

Couldn't agree more with Paul. Nicely done, really like the way your baits are coming together!

Gave few of these away. First person to fish one was good friend he raised 2 in twenty minutes. This is what a properly sealed finished bait looks like.

Really like the paint job. How did you achieve that scale pattern?

Painted the bait white then detailed with black and red throat. Then a slight misting over the bait with bright metallic silver through a scale pattern mesh
