Are there any sweet new Muskie videos on YouTube or here that will help me (us) get through this winter?

I feel like I have seen them all, but if there was anyone who has some highlight videos from last year or whatever....just looking to cure this sickness!

I have about 20,000 treble hooks that need to be sharpened. That will get you through February!

I just dropped a few bills on a new rod and reel so I can sit in the lazy boy and cast pounders across my living room. Waiting patiently for my musky shop catalog to show up in my mailbox. The hook sharpening seems to never end. Memorial weekend seems to never come fast enough.

I can send you my muskyshop catalog. It came in the mail this week. I used it already. You can still separate a few of the pages. Yours if you want it.

Found these from 2014....pretty fun to watch. Not sure if they are from Wisconsin, Minnesota, or maybe Ohio?

Thoughts?

DownHillSki, The first video is mostly Wisconsin and Minnesota with a little Canadian thrown in. These Wisconsin boys got bit hard by the muskie bug and do a great job preserving their highlights of the year in a self edited video. "D Train" is the patriarch of the family doing a thumbs up release with that ear to ear smile in the middle of the video. The Dad we all wish we had!

Thought it's certainly not the same as muskie fishing, I do get out on the ice every chance I have. The hike with a sled full of gear is good exercise and spending time outside is great. So far this season we've hooked up with a few nice pike and walleye too. A couple days have been too cold to be outside long, so I've stayed in the shelter except to take care of the tip-ups. Not my favorite way to fish, but better than not fishing at all.

DownHill,

Yes that second video is something I threw together a month ago or so. It is just a short version of an awesome season we had. Could put everything in there of course, just picked out what I thought was some cool stuff. Glad you enjoyed it! For anyone else interested here is the link again:

I enjoy catfishing in the winter.

Not for fish, but for my cats.

I rig a little kids rod in the house with a play mousie on it and cast the long hallway. Twitching it until a cat attacks.

It passes the time and the kitties love it. But I fear that the next step is a straight jacket.

See its threads like this that make me glad that I currently have a pool at my apartment. I do cast baits in it to pass the cabin fever and every so often get a few buddies to come over also and test some of their "winter creations".

this cabin fever saving ability will be gone come March 27th when I move to Buffalo into my first house. bitter sweet, more sweet then bitter obviously

My buddy has a few dogs that he lets run in his backyard each day here in Mn. It's been below zero lots lately.

I sometimes I just drop over to his place for a few coffee's and ... bring along my nine iron.....*G*

Ive wasted 5-7 bucktail coils and a lot of hair tying "the perfect" catfish lure. Ya I'm going nuts!
