I have a Springfield air ride pro style stand up pedestal that no longer has air in it.
Pedestal will not stay up at all. Any idea if these can be repaired? Checked locally and can get a new one for $145.00 but would rather not!

Drill a hole in pedestal rod and put a pin thru it to hold it in the place you prefer.

Did a search online and was able to order a repair kit to fix the problem.
$19.94 is much better than $145.00.
I checked at a dealership that sold this pedestal and the salesman told me about the 5 year warranty. He then asked when I bought it. Seemed like he was ready to exchange it for a new one but I bought it like 8 years ago. Just could not bring myself to lie about it.

It was on Amazon.com under Springfield 2100031 Repair Kit for Power Rise Pedestal.
When I ordered the parts today it said there were 6 available.
The kit had a couple washers, a self locking nut, a rubber looking gasket and a roller looking bearing assembly. Best description I can give
Hope this helps. When I get the parts installed I will post the results.

Thanks Ken. How do you build the pressure, hydraulic or otherwise, back up?

No idea on that one. Hopefully there will be an instruction sheet.

Well that did not work. The repair kit is basically a new locknut and washer plus a bearing race, two more washers and a rubber bumper. This will not restore the pressure in the pedestal. Take the pedestal apart and you find a sealed hydraulic cylinder. No way that I could find to open the cylinder up.

I have gone through 3 of these since getting my Tuffy in '08. Same problem- no air in the shock,,It has always happened over the winter. I'm I doing something wrong when I store them? I have been leaving them locked in place and down over the winter..Or are they a replacement every six years or so item??
