Very sad. Richard has always shared info with me on upcoming reels, new oils and greases, and tips and tricks. Praying you make a full recovery buddy.

Met Richard at the Milwaukee expo after chatting with him here. He came across as an honest man so I had him service three reels for me over winter. He does exceptional work and gets your reel back as soon as possible. Get well Richard!

The idea of posting the info I got from his wife was to eliminate her being bothered by calls. As I said I'll post more when known, but in the meantime maybe allowing the family some peace is best.

I promised an update. Richard's wife just text me that there has been no change in his condition. I had hoped something more positive, but either way continue to pray for them all.

Richard was a great guy, just bought a reel from him in august and he has worked on alot of my reels. I always enjoyed visiting with him at club meetings and turned him on to mama mia's. Hard to believe he is gone. I will remember him every time I catch a fish with that reel.

My thoughts are with you and your family, Taylor. I'll miss my annual chat with Richard at the expo. I guess there must be a lot of messed up reels in heaven.

Rest in peace.
He was the best reel guy I have ever used. He saved reels other reel guys told me were unfixable. I always enjoyed talking to him about reels.
He will be deeply missed by a lot of people in the musky world.
So sorry to hear the news.
