Location: Eagle Lake Vermilion Bay, Ontario | prop baits are as diff as women. some got bent tails that got a faster spin and got a ping to the plop, others got a flat straighter tail that move a bit slower with a deeper plop, and combinations of this factor, single tails and double tails, etc etc, ...aluminum, stainless, resin tails,.... wood, resin, solid, hollow, bodys..big heads, slimmer heads, high floaters, semi submerged ,etc etc it goes on and on.
and prob more so than with any other bait type than mayb e perhaps blades these variances and diff combinations of create diff sounds and vibrations and you'll find preferences at times for them. whether its idiosyncrasies of certain lakes, times of the year or day, strains of muskies, etc etc etc.,or the fish just simply say so.
some at first glance may look the same, similar but they are not and sometimes the fish say so too. get 3-4 with diff types of tails, body styles and types..then get on the water and learn when and why they are the best choice the real way.good luck and have fun, there isnt any better way!
