Posts: 20 Location: Marshfield,WI | I am setting up a new Revo Toro Beast 60HS reel on a TI XH 9ft telescopic rod . My main use for this reel will be for burning double bladed #8 and single bladed #9 bucktails. This is my first Beast reel, so I am not sure what to expect. I am just debating which of the 3 factory handles to install first, and I would like some input from the field about which handle you may prefer and why, for this application. I am leaning toward the unweighted jigging handle mounted in the second hole from the end. I already have a Tranx 500 for double bladed #9's and #10's, so will not be needing the Beast 60 HS for that. I do tend to prefer power handles on my other reels, but maybe this double paddle handle is enough to reel double 8's with ease? Which handle is your favorite and why? For the jigging handle which is your favorite hole?

Posts: 735 Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | The question is what's your favorite? Don't have a beast but I have a NACL and Anything straight retrieve, where I'm not taking my hand off the handle, I like the power handle.

Posts: 983 | I Like the counter balance handle on all my beast I use power handle on 60hs when pulling dbl 10s trying to burn but with 8s the counter balance is money imo

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | I like the non balanced handle on the middle setting for blades up to double 10s. For 8 and single 9s you may be ok with the balanced handle or double paddle even. Try them all and see what works best for you!

Posts: 64 | I use the double paddle on that same setup, and burn in 8's easy with it. I switch between burning 8's and throwing rubber with that setup so I prefer the double handle for both uses. I put the jigging handle from my Beast on my Toro S61 (on the longest setting) and love it for 10's. That double paddle handle is comfy and easy to use, give it a try and see if you like it.
