Need help in determining what size reel to purchase, 50 or 60. I'm not as concerned with hand size and palming comfort but rather what other factors should be considered.

I would go with the 60 for sure. The added line capacity is nice and will help to minimize the speed change from the beginning of the cast to the end of the cast.

I'm having the same thoughts as Tim above. Without any other reviews, I'll be looking at the 60. The only reason I would go for a 50 is if you're looking for the retrieve rates of one of the 50 sizes vs the 60 sizes.

If line loss on a long cast is not a problem, then the 50's may be good for some applications where a little slower reel is preferred. I'm looking forward to hearing some in the field reports from musky guys on these new reels. So far everything sounds good about them.

I would go with the 60 and 100lb braid, if you are not concerned about the reel size. if you use 65 or 80lb the 50 might do the trick.

The 50 Toro S with 65# is VERY nice. We have a 60 and a 50 in the Beast and S. The 60 is also very nice, fits my hand better by a margin that the NACL does.

Don't dismiss the 50. Danged nice reel
