Random quote: What happens at the muskie tournament stays at the muskie tournament. (This from a 10 year old when we were telling him not to tell his mother he was up late)

Couldn't come soon enough for us "North Folk". How about them water conditions 32' from summer pool. Sounds like an adventure. Bring it on I'd fish out of a toilet about now! http://m.themoreheadnews.com/news/cave-run-lake-exceeds-record-pool...

This will be our first PMTT event. I've been watching the weather and wondering if the boat ramps will be below water. I'm sure they are like the ramps at Saylorville here in Iowa and are very long, but there has to be a limit. It would be very dissappointing to make the drive and not get on the lake.

We've had that high water before. Some of the ramps are not useable, but not enough to stop us. You could look at it as more places to fish, or you could stay up here and be miserable. God made the water, the fish, and the rain. I'm just glad I'm not dead and I can afford the entry fee. No where I'd rather be going this week!

Sounds like they are at record levels with the possibility to go higher! Hope everything is okay I have been waiting all winter for this! Will definitely make it interesting.

32 FT. above summer pool and and rising. New record for the lake, If I had to bet Id bet the PMTT will be good to. But that being said I bet on Wisc. and KY to win on two different brackets. There was a Bass contest out of Scott Creek ramp yesterday Saturday 4/18/15 with about 30 boats, so Alfrey should be good next Saterday. Good luck to all Marv.

The last time those duckponds were accessible, a lot of guys forgot that it's not just no wake, it's no gas motors back there. Don't forget that any kind of a violation like that can result in a DQ. I think there's only one sign and you can miss it.

Hey folks,
Just wanted to confirm that short of a dam failure... CAVE RUN IS GOOD TO GO! Forest Service and Corps of Engineers Will Keep Alfrey and Scott Creek open at a minimum as they are designed to function even if water reaches spillover levels. High and dirty... but MOST CERTAINLY FISHABLE for this high spirited group of Musky Hunters. Be safe, be cautious... but BE THERE!
